20”x20 Rustic paper print of a 3month old white rhino calf.

White rhinos and black rhinos have their differences. One of which has to do with how they react to threats when they have young. A black rhino will take off running from a threat, breaking through and creating a clear path for the calf to follow. A white rhino will position her baby in front of her and they run together. For this reason we wait until a black rhino calf is big enough to keep up with its mother before we walk them, to avoid causing the duo getting separated. With white rhinos we proceed cautiously but with the threat of poaching higher, and the treat of spooking them into separating being lower, we always want to get a visual on mother and baby.
